Taylor has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. At DCS Services, Taylor oversees project management duties, assists in business development opportunities and works through design and budget on the pre-construction phase of a project. Besides those tasks, he also manages the fullfilment of projects after procurement and after pre-constructions duties are completed. Taylor’s strong organizational and time management skills have been essential in the path of his successful career. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS.

Curtis has worked in the HVAC/construction industry for over five years. Over the course of his career, he has filled the roles of new equipment estimator, account manager, and project manager. Curtis manages the business development for our clients. He works on a regular basis with owners, designers, cities, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the entire lifecycle of our projects is as smooth as possible. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Friends University in Wichita, KS, and is a member of KHEA, ASHE, KADPF and KASB.

Brett has an extensive and well-balanced business, technical, operational and management knowledge. With over 30 years’ experience in the mechanical construction and service industry, Brett directs all aspects of DCS Services including business development, sales, operations, finance, construction and service. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Minor in Total Quality Management from Newman University in Wichita, KS, a Construction Management Certification by the Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors National Association from Arizona State University, in Temple, AZ, and a Supervisory & Management Certificate in the Cessna Management Association Program. Brett is a member of the Sheetmetal Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee - Local 29 JATC and was a member of the Pittsburg State University Construction Advisory Board in Pittsburg, KS and the contract negotiation team in the Association of Mechanical and Sheetmetal Contractors of Kansas.

Renee brings over 26 years’ experience in accounting and project management assistance in the commercial construction industry. She has worked with project managers, estimators and subcontractors. Having worked for a general contractor for 25 years she has been involved in estimating projects, preparing contracts, invoicing, job costing, receivables and final close-out documents. In addition, she has also been responsible for licensing, payroll, sales tax reporting, inventory, filing property and payroll taxes.

 
 

chad marlow | construction services

Chad has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, concentrated in commercial new equipment sales. Chad brings knowledge of HVAC systems including hydronic systems, VRF, packaged DX, as well as temperature controls. Prior duties included account management, engineering, estimating, project management, and budget analysis. Chad worked closely with design engineers on up-front design & budget processes and assisted mechanical/general contractors throughout project timelines. At DCS, Chad is involved with project management and fulfillment. Chad’s history and organizational skills allow DCS to serve clients and help projects come in on time and within budget.

Shelly is a vital team member and serves as our educational consultant. She understands school systems and educational processes, bringing over 22 years of experience in her role as building administrator and superintendent. She understands post-secondary education as well, and is distinguished by her prior service on the Kansas Board of Regents. Shelly offers her expertise on projects and how they affect the entire district and community. She delivers customized solutions to your school district, including facilitation of board, community, and/or faculty groups at any stage of the project. She has developed strategic plans for districts that include vision for education, facilities, and operations, and has been instrumental in developing successful educational campaigns to assist with the passage of bond elections.

 

Darrel Kohlman | Business Development

Darrel is responsible for working with our clients to provide practical, affordable solutions for their facilities. With his past experience as school superintendent, principal, and teacher, Darrel understands the educational system and the challenges faced on a day-to-day basis. Darrel has overseen and managed building construction projects and facilities plans. He offers his expertise for rural school districts on their projects and how those projects affect the entire district and community. Being a liaison between the school board, school superintendent, community, and design partners, Darrel understands both sides of construction and school operations. Darrel has led strategic plans for the school districts he’s served. He has also led a school district through a consolidation process and added curriculum and programs to schools.

Tyler has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. As a project manager at DCS Services, Tyler manages the day-to-day activities of construction projects from the preconstruction phase to project delivery. Tyler’s background of field supervision is essential to a project delivered on-time and within budget.

 

Michael Devlin | Supervisor

Michael has over nine years of experience in the construction industry. During this time, he has held multiple positions throughout the construction process from estimating to commissioning. Michael provides innovative solutions to complex problems, delivering on-time, on-budget, and high-quality projects. As superintendent, he works closely with the project team and subcontractors, overseeing quality and safety on-site. He is proficient in material management, isometric reviews, engineering resolutions, change mangement, process improvement, budgeting, schedule management, quality control, and contract adminstration.

Garret is a graduate of Pittsburg State University. During Garret’s time at Pittsburg State, he worked for companies in a variety of construction fields. These diverse experiences helped Garret gain a wide range of knowledge for many types of projects. At DCS Services, Garret coordinates and manages a wide range of projects.
